Representatives from AHOP National Centres, WHO Africa Regional Office (WHO AFRO) and the London School of Economics (LSE) met in Brazzaville to further develop one of the AHOP core outputs, the comparative studies.
These in-depth studies are a collection of peer reviewed manuscripts in the form of a special issue that allow for cross-country learning. The topic of Primary Health Care (PHC) and how it aligns to community health systems is the upcoming focus of the first special issue. Papers will reflect on the role of multisector activity, community generated data, technology and workforce as well as other entry points, to better understand the relationship between communities and the PHC services designed to serve them.
